I was so busy last month, I completely forgot about doing a newsletter! Since this is a new thing for me, y’all will need to be patient as I kinda fine-tune my procedures. What kept me busy was promoting my new documentary film, The War on Whores, directed and produced by Paul Johnson; you can watch or download the film on Vimeo, or if you have Amazon Prime you can see it there for free! Amazon is apparently run by old nuns who faint at the word “whore”, so they insisted on labeling it The War on Sex Workers as their display title, but it’s really the same movie. Just yesterday Paul let me know that our first shipment of DVDs has arrived, so we’ll be offering those for sale soon as well. That also means those who have contributed to my fundraiser on GoFundMe will be getting their copies pretty soon; if you’re feeling generous and haven’t contributed yet, I’m going to ask you to with a pretty please with sugar on top! The fundraiser is mostly to subsidize screenings for student groups and the like who don’t have enough money for screening or speaking fees; last month I showed it at Minnesota State in Mankato and to a sex-positive group in St. Louis. In a couple of weeks I’ll be taking it for three screenings in central Florida to benefit incarcerated sex workers, then in July for an LGBT charity in Tacoma, and in August to the Woodhull Sexual Freedom Summit in Washington, DC. Those of you who’ve seen online fundraisers in the past know that it’s customary to give rewards for different donation levels, and this one is no exception:
$30 or more – Donor
Permanent inclusion in blog-supporter deals (free stories, etc).
$60 or more – Friend
Autographed DVD of The War on Whores (will be sent when DVDs are delivered to us, probably late spring)
$125 or more – Sponsor
Autographed copies both of my books, plus The War on Whores DVD when it comes out.
$250 or more – Patron
When I’m in your city, I’ll have coffee with you and hand-deliver the Sponsor-level gifts plus an autographed poster!
$500 or more – Angel
When I’m in your city, I’ll have a leisurely dinner with you and hand-deliver all the Patron-level gifts!
$1000 or more – Producer
I will make a special trip to the city of your choice and give a full screening of the movie, with Q&A session, to the group of your choice! If you have no special group, I’ll give you the Angel package without your having to wait until I reach your city!
Those are only the public rewards, though; folks on this mailing list can claim alternate rewards for donating at the three highest levels!

When I’m in your city, I’ll give you a free one-hour social date or add half an hour to a regular session of any length!
$500 or more – Angel
When I’m in your city, I’ll add an hour to a regular session of any length, or two hours to a session of 8 hours or longer!
$1000 or more – Producer
When I’m in your city, I’ll add two hours to a regular session of any length, or three hours to an overnight!
Normally, I will only travel for a date at least as long as round-trip travel time, so if you’re in the middle of the US that’s an 8-hour session, or an overnight if you’re on the East Coast. But for this special, the extra time counts for meeting that minimum! So if you’re willing to book a longer date, you needn’t even wait for me to visit; I’ll come out especially for you.
Last month, I also spoke at the Libertarian Party of Illinois convention on May 4th, and I have an article in the new issue of Reason magazine, “Consenting To Be Paid for Sex Is Still Consenting!” The folks at Reason have always been good to me, and they’ll be sponsoring a screening of my film in Washington in September, but we haven’t got the details worked out yet.
