Since I’ve already said plenty on this subject, this time I’m just going to leave you with a link to a collection of earlier essays, and remind you that all government is at best a necessary evil rooted in the idea that might makes right, and that the reason you’re so worried about the outcome of today’s popularity contest is that for over 200 years now, Americans have stood by while the executive branch increases its own power, then leaves the newly-expanded powers to anyone their ideological enemies manage to get into the White House.
Guy Fawkes Day 2024

While I am not that concerned about Trump and Mall Cop, it is their choices of middlemen that do worry me. Let’s be real: JD Vance, Tim Walz, RFK Jr., Stephen Miller, etc. are not fit for public office, and now is a good time for me to remind people of what JFK said to Mimi Alford in 1962, “I’d rather my children red than dead.” Think of that as something that RFK Jr., Oliver Stone, and the rest of the Cult of Kennedy will never acknowledge. I’d also like to mention what Frank Herbert had to say in the ’80s, “JFK was one of the worse presidents we ever had.”
