The apparent path of the sun crossed (or will cross, depending on when you read this) the celestial equator at 14:21 UTC today, marking this as the first day of autumn in the Northern Hemisphere and the first of spring in the Southern. Our beautiful Mabon art is by Samantha Candelaria-Ley, daughter of my friend Dr. David Ley (whom I mention often in this blog). I saw him tweet one of her earlier works and I was so impressed I asked if she could do one for me, and as you can see she graciously assented.
