Imbolc 2018

The Celtic goddess Brigit, like so many other pagan deities, was turned into a Christian saint; this is a photo I took last July at one of her many shrines in Ireland. This day is sacred to her, and to the flame with which she awakens the world from winter. Sometimes things that seem dead are just waiting for the right conditions to awaken; may all the things that do so in your life be good ones. Blessed Be!
