How I love the way I get them to swallow all the sludge I hand out!
– The Prodigy
Some people might look upon the situation in the first video with horror; I see it as a thing of beauty and a fine example of spontaneous order. The video has been making the rounds, but was first called to my attention by Radley Balko (who also provided all the links above it). The second video was contributed by Kevin Wilson, and the links between the videos by Cop Block (“thoughtcrime” and “together”), Aspasia (“whip”), Carol Fenton (“police state”), Jesse Walker (“Spider-man”), Popehat (“lawheads”), and AL 360 (“price”).
- Lawheads want prohibitionist regime financed by those without one.

- The inevitable result of giving power to lawhead ignoramuses.
- Government is just a word for the things we choose to do together.
- The price of putting overwhelming power in the hands of people too stupid to learn from experience.

Most of the stories here today lead to the clear conclusion: Any one who loves freedom ought to hate cops.
Love the response of police to that “swatting” story:
“He did something so, so foolish, and so dangerous. I’m very angry — it’s a tremendous waste of taxpayer resources, it’s a tremendous danger to law enforcement.”
A tremendous danger to law enforcement.
Riiiiiight.
That Bitch magazine piece was interesting. By the way, did you see Stefan Molyneux’s video “The Truth About Slavery.” (Which basically explains the continued existence of the White Slavery myth.)
Paul: In a fustercluck with 60 armed men, there’s a distinct danger of them forming a circular firing squad and shooting each other. It happened in Boston with the marathon bombers – hundreds of shots fired and the only one hit was a cop, shot by another cop. Here, I don’t know if the Long Beach PD is as incompetent at shooting as the NYPD, which recently fired many rounds at a mentally handicapped man who was playing in traffic, injuring two bystanders but cleanly missing their unarmed target.
But isn’t 911 supposed to be able to read the location from incoming calls? The swatting call claimed to be _from_ the target location, so comparing addresses would have shown it was a lie.
That’s the fun of swatting, you see: some people have the knowledge to spoof their phone numbers to appear as something else.
