The canned food item could stun the intruder or even knock him out until the police arrive. – Priscella Holley
Apparently we’re over the holiday slump, because there were lots of good links! Mike Siegel was the top contributor this week, with the first video (an example of Sweden being Swedish) and everything above it; the second video (silly, but amusing) was provided by Kevin Wilson, and the links between the videos by Mistress Matisse (“race”), Radley Balko (“start” and “blue”), Dan Savage (“federalism” and “unpunished”), Jesse Walker (“beer” and “luck”), Clarissa (“determined” and “bury”), Violet Blue (“adventure”), Aspasia (“owners”), Popehat (“Mars”), Amy Alkon (“stupid”), Angela Keaton (“truck”), and Michael Whiteacre (“shampoo”).

Here’s the problems I have with the arrest of Christopher Cornell …
(And … let’s be fair here … we have established a custom of calling people what they WANT to be called (a.k.a. “Chelsea Bradley”) … so let’s call Christopher WHAT HE wanted to be called … which is … “Raheel Mahrus Ubaydah”)
First … I don’t have a problem that this little Islamofascist shit-stain misfit is in prison.
Fact is, Raheel is a grown boy – makes his own decisions and he has a history of making bad ones. If he fell into an FBI “trap” – well he deserves a Darwin award because the trap was stupid and any idiot should have seen it coming.
The four major problems I have with this bust are …
1. It’s being politicized to support the case for continued NSA snooping on Americans. Whatever, I suppose that we now live in an AGE of “politicization” – since any event is now politicized for both the conservative and liberal agendas these days. But that’s my basic first problem with this.
2. My second problem is … the FBI told a gun store owner to sell Raheel the guns whenever Raheel showed up to buy them. I would have told the FBI to go fuck themselves … but they probably threatened the gun store owner with an investigation by both the FBI and the IRS. That seems to be the way things work these days when the government tries to extort from gun stores.
3. You’ve heard of “low hanging fruit”, well this idiot was REALLY low hanging fruit. He probably would have blown himself up had he actually tried to bomb congress. So to me … this guy is nothing. He deserved watching – but a full blown “take down” by the FBI? They spent a lot of resources in catching this little piss-ant. I would much rather see them spend those resources on LEGIT threats like AQ, ISIS, and Al Shabaab terror cells and recruiting networks here in the U.S.
4. You’re not gonna hear that much about FBI investigations into legit terrorists on American soil. They take those guys down, a lot of times they don’t publish it because they want to “turn them” and use them to bust others. In fact, Raheel the pantywaste was taken down by his association with, probably just such a guy. Whoever his “associate” was … he was someone cooperating in order to get a lesser charge on some other offense. I believe that’s a fact established already in FBI news releases. So my point here is … Raheel the incompetent was busted, and the FBI and Boehner are portraying this as some “imminent” and extremely dangerous plot that was thwarted. It was neither “imminent” nor “extremely dangerous” since the attack was slated for December 2015 and Raheel is FAR from a competent “mujahadeen” … or whatever.
So the FBI bragging about getting this little pissant is about like Mohammed Ali bragging about beating the shit out of Pee Wee Herman.
