I love you, robot!
This week’s video is dedicated to several women I dearly love, in reference to a lovely night we spent together almost two weeks ago. They know who they are, and why this is here, but I hope the rest of you will enjoy it, too. The links above it were provided by Skye (“sanctuary”), Radley Balko (“state”), Jesse Walker (“Bosch”), Franklin Harris (“Babylon”), and Eddie J Cunningham (“convenience”).

Sanctuary City: How dreadful that the NYPD should collude with ICE to send people back to the countries they are citizens of!
Police State: The prison system is not a place of punishment. It’s a pitcher plant, a gill net, a sheet of flypaper. It traps a certain kind of person and holds them. People who just cannot behave themselves and make nice and follow the rules. This Adam Hall with his violent outbursts, paranoia, general inability to control his own behaviour is exactly the kind of person that has no business being out in the general public. It’s all working as designed.
Mirrors: so schools are still in the business of telling lies to children, I see. “You are Unique”, “You are capable” – two things that almost all teenage girls are emphatically not.
Tyranny: Everything would be so much simpler if we just chipped everyone at birth.
