I realized long ago that the moral imbeciles who make up 95% of the general population and essentially 100% of those in power find it easy to justify any moral atrocity by some twisted interpretation of one aspect or another of their warped, childish, primitive ideology. It is therefore unnecessary to concern oneself with the niceties of these creatures’ ersatz “morality”, since it isn’t a consistent predictor of their behavior anyway; one needn’t know why a rabid dog wants to bite one in order to recognize that it’s dangerous. One merely needs to avoid the creature entirely, or at least to the greatest extent possible, lest one happen to be a convenient target when some violent impulse enters its diseased mind.
The Philosophy of Rabies

Yes, Maggie, agree with you.
As a lifelong Voluntaryist (ALL governments are unnecessary evils), I consider the Powers That Shouldn’t Be and the Powers that Wanna Be as a potentially dangerous mix of arrogance and ignorance and nod to Stefan Zweig’s:
“All the problems of the man who fears for his humanity come down to the same question: how to remain free?”
And I have remained, most often, free—although the U.S. State of Criminals did manage to throw me in prison for a short while because I refused to murder Vietnamese.
I look on all things that would control my mind—gods, governments, and gurus–as primitive witchcraft and “Human Rights” are usually “Inhuman Rites”.
Early on in my self-directed education in Responsible Freedom I assimilated Harry Browne’s “How I Found Freedom In An Unfree World”.
“To be free, you have only to make the decision to be free. Freedom is waiting for you — anytime you’re ready for it.”
It seems you and I have been ready for it most of our lives.
Let us help others prepare to join us.
Stay free, stay safe.
