The big news this week was the passing of Vangelis, the Greek composer most famous for his soundtrack work, whose albums from the late ’70s and early ’80s in particular formed a large portion of the soundtrack of my life. I’ve featured many of his compositions over the years, but never the one that first made me a fan, fittingly entitled “Alpha”.
