Summer Solstice 2020

The apparent path of the sun will reach its northernmost point at 21:43 UTC today, marking the longest day of the year and the beginning of summer in the Northern Hemisphere, and the shortest day of the year & first day of winter in the Southern. May all of your plans come to fruition in the fullness of time, and Blessed Be!

For the first time in a long time, Google is not showing a summer solstice “doodle” logo in the United States. It’s possible that it might be because of overlap due to the new Juneteenth Google Doodle yesterday, but that was yesterday.

Or it may be that thanks to the COVID-19 lockdowns, it really doesn’t feel like summer although technically we’re in the middle of it.
