It’s tyranny at its finest. – Rakem Balogun

Gee, why did I think “Land of the free” was going to link to this story?
> A Carroll County sheriff’s deputy shot a groundhog that was holding up traffic Monday morning.
When you’ve got a hammer, every problem looks like a nail.
Here in Texas nobody would have stopped for a silly groundhog. It would have been a greasy spot in the road.
It also seems to me that it was behaving strangely and might have had rabies and probably should have been killed. Not sure how clear the background was when the cop shot though. If the background was clear, then it was probably a good shoot.
Thanks for posting that Rube Goldberg video, Maggie! I take it you’ve seen the OKGO video which came out a few years back?
“Greek capitol”; are you sure that isn’t a TSA poster?
Regarding the groundhog story; I have to agree with Stephan. If a wild animal is acting strangely and rabies is a possibility, in needs to be killed before it spreads the infection further. Urban people often just don’t get this, but everyone I’ve ever talked to about it who lived in the country agreed.
