To Molest and Rape

Cop shops love their obfuscatory, blame-shifting language:  “A [typical and representative Kansas cop named Russell Patterson Jr] was arrested [for]…aggravated…rape“…

To Molest and Rape (#1237)

Sleeping with a cop is dangerous not only to women, but to their children as well (including those sired by the cop):

A [typical and representative] Aurora [Colorado cop] faces criminal charges for raping his daughter and continually sexually assaulting her and his two adopted daughters, but he remains [at large] while his ex-wife is in jail for objecting to court-ordered [convers]ion therapy meant to [brainwash] his…two [minor] sons [into “forgiving” him for abusing them, raping their sister, and attempting to murder their older brother]…Rachel Pickrel-Hawkins…said the [so-called “]therapy[“] by Christine Bassett…has been harmful, abusive and counterproductive…and…Bassett has supported the efforts by her [rapist cop] ex-husband, Michael Hawkins, to gain sole custody of the [boys]…such therapy and its potential harms are increasingly coming under fire in Colorado…[whose “]family court system[“]…has been plagued by accusations of bias, usually from mothers who…are punished…when they seek to protect their children from abusive fathers…

Creepy Coppers (ROTW #9)

Had he not been caught, this would’ve soon escalated:

A [Mississippi cop named Tyson Rushing, who was paid to spy on, harass, and intimidate] Elementary School [students]…was arrested and charged with [spying on prepubescent girls for sexual gratification.  Officials and politicians bloviated that it wasn’t their fault even though they were the ones who gave a sexually-aggressive man power over little girls]…

To Molest and Rape (#1450)

It’s rare for cops to actually be indicted for murders they commit:

[Typical and representative] Massachusetts [cop] Matthew Farwell has been [indicted for murdering] Sandra Birchmore in 2021 while she was pregnant with…his child…then staged the scene to make it look like…suicide…Farwell…[had repeatedly molested and raped] Birchmore …before she turned 16…[after seducing her via a  grooming] program [starting]…in 2012…”When it became clear that…Farwell…could no longer control Sandra Birchmore, he…silenced her permanently,” [said prosecutor] Joshua Levy…

To Molest and Rape (#1460)

Is the mainstream media finally admitting that pigs in schools are a menace?

[A South Carolina cop named] Jamel Bradley, [who was paid to spy on, harass, and intimidate students, was]…the subject of [numerous] complaints [over a decade, but nothing was done because]…Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott had personally recruited Bradley [for being good at playing a kid’s game in]…school…He was…not [only basically immune to] arrest…[but] was [also allowed] to [keep lurking in]…high school[s until]…a video of a different…[school-lurking pig brutaliz]ing a Black student…had gone viral…an[d the]…Justice Department…[began] to…investigate…Bradley is [finally] facing sex crime charges…but prosecutors have offered [him] a deal…th[at] will re[sult in]…no time on the sex offender registry…

Above the Law (#1468)

Just another kind of federal cop, with behavior to match:

A federal jury has convicted a [typical and representative] Border Patrol [thug] of abducting and [rap]ing a 15-year-old girl in southern Arizona.  Aaron Mitchell…approached the student as she was waiting for school to start and “asked for her papers” before [flashing his badge]…and [claiming he was arresting her]…he…then…brought [her] to his apartment [and raped] her [repeatedly for] several hours.  Mitchell eventually [dumped her] back [at her] school and told her not to tell anyone…[but] had made an internet search while…holding the girl captive to find out “how long it takes to smother someone”…[he] is now facing a life sentence…

To Molest and Rape (#1469)

Cops should not be allowed anywhere near legal minors:

An Indianapolis [cop named]…Kamal Bola…[has been arrested and] charged with…three counts of child molesting, [including] one [instance where] he [threatened] the [victim with] deadly force…[and was reported by the victim’s] family…Bola [is] the fourth…Indianapolis [cop]…arrested…this year…[for] sex crimes.  Javed Richards was arrested in August…[for] child pornographyMyron Howard was arrested in April [for multiple rapes]…And…Paul Humphrey…was a[rest]ed [in January for repeatedly] sexually abusing [the] 15-year-old [daughter of people who thought he was a friend]…

It’s transparently a ridiculous defense, because the entire thing that they’re selling is the ability to track phones.  –  Nate Wessler

Dangerous Speech

Governments are growing increasingly bold in their attempts to censor the internet:

Telegram is one of the last (mostly) uncensored frontiers of the internet.  The messaging app allows users to message each other through both unencrypted and encrypted chats, and to create “channels” that other users can subscribe to.  There’s no feed with an algorithm to manipulate, and founder Pavel Durov has committed to never sharing user information with [violent busybodies]…A decade ago, Durov fled Russia after his previous social media company, VKontakte, was [stolen] by the government. (Since then, he spent most of his time in Dubai and obtained French citizenship in 2021.)  Russia banned Durov’s newer app Telegram in 2018 but then unblocked [it] two years later…China and Iran have also banned Telegram…[and now] French authorities arrested Durov at the airport for [a number of vicarious “crimes” due to his refusal to engage in a fascist partnership with cops against his own users]…The French case against Telegram resembles the U.S. case against Backpage...

Above the Law (#1361)

It’s unusual that they didn’t make this sound like the rapist was doing his victims a favor:

A [typical and representative] Alabama prosecutor was found guilty of six corruption charges…for [extor]ting sexual favors from at least three women who[m] he was…prosecuting for crimes…Mark Johnson…[was] also previously…a [cop.  His]…attorneys…argued in court that [rape isn’t a crime if a] prosecutor…[accomplishes it by threat rather than force]…

I Spy (#1400)

It’s far too late to cram this djinni back into its bottle, God help us:

…the Texas [cop shop collective has acquired]…a controversial surveillance tool called Tangles…that scrapes information from the open, deep, and dark web.  Tangles’ premier add-on feature…WebLoc can track…mobile devices’ movements…through… “geofencing”…without a search warrant…subpoena…[or the participation of] companies like Google…us[ing]…information from data brokers…While a device’s mobile ad ID is [supposed]ly…anonymous…it is easy to cross reference other data points to determine the owner…Tangles is [sold] by the [fascist Israeli] company Cobwebs Technologies, which…operat[es] as a surveillance-for-hire outfit [to circumvent Constitutional limitations.  Texas]…first purchased the software as part of Governor Greg Abbott’s multi-billion dollar Operation Lone Star [anti-migrant jihad and]…expanded the contract [every year]…

Served Cold (#1406)

I can’t feel sorry for women who were happy to throw other women to the leopards:

Celeste Borys and Kira Lynch…[are regularly] scorn[ed] and harass[ed by the disciples of rescue industry charlatan]…Tim Ballard…who…[realiz]ed during the Obama administration [that there was plenty of money and fame to be made in the hysteria over “]child sex trafficking[“;] he [accomplished this by]…recruiting…true believers to join him on [theatrical “rescue”] operations in [foreign countries where officials could be bribed to ignore his illegal targeting of their citizens and endangerment of their children.  His shenanigans inspired a completely]…fictionalized film [with the hypocritical name] Sound of Freedom based on [the tall tales he tells to attract marks to finance] Operation Underground Railroad…the [rescue industry profiteer]ing organization he founded…Ballard [fell from grace with everyone but MAGAists and QAnon cultists when a number of]…women – Borys and Lynch among them – [sued and filed criminal complaints against him for] sexually abus[ing] them…[using the same ridiculous “]saving children[ from sex trafficking” fantasies he used to fleece sex-haters and other gullible wackos]…

The Cop Myth (#1423)

How long will America ignore the costs of its sick worship of state-sanctioned violence?

Police in the US use force on at least 300,000 people each year, [seriously] injuring an estimated 100,000 of them, according to…Mapping Police Violence, a non-profit research group that…[has] launched a new database…cataloging non-fatal incidents of police use of force, including stun guns, chemical sprays, K9 dog attacks, neck restraints, beanbags and baton strikes.  The data…compiled from public records requests in every state….[demonstrate] that despite widespread protests against police brutality…in 2020, overall use of force has [at least] remained steady…and in many jurisdictions, has increased.  The data builds on past reports that found US police [intentionally murder] roughly 1,200 people each year, or three people a day, a death toll that has crept up every year and dramatically exceeds rates in c[ivilized] nations.  The nonfatal force statistics…illustrate how the [intentional murder]s are just a small fraction of broader police violence and [death]s caused by law enforcement…The data is [definitely] an undercount as it only covers incidents disclosed by [cop shops], and many states have laws [hiding] police [violence from public scrutiny]…

To Molest and Rape (#1467)

Cops should not be allowed anywhere near legal minors:

On…August 19, [typical and representative California cop] James Walter Best Jr. was arrested…[in] Maine…where…he [fled after being interrogated by Kern County, California cops in October of last year for repeatedly molesting and raping]…one of his [own] children…[from] 9 years old…until they were of age…Best…never denied the [molest]ations…but c[laim]ed…he didn’t remember…[Best was previously put on probation in 2020 for embezzlement and grand theft]…

The Cop Myth (#1468)

Sleeping with a cop is one of the most dangerous things a woman can do, even if she’s a cop herself:

A…Chicago [cop who was not wearing his magical clown costume] attack[ed] his cop girlfriend during a drunken rampage…at a [cop shop], pulling her by her hair while [threatening her with] a loaded gun…Francisco Galvan…faces [only] misdemeanor c[harges because]…his [victim] declined to pursue felony charges…[fellow cops] saw Galvan walking through the [cop shop] parking lot…before he a[ttack]ed his…girlfriend, who was [wearing her magical clown costume and] sitting in a p[igmobile]…

My livelihood will never be as important as someone’s life or right to read what they want.  –  Summer Boismier

To Molest and Rape (#1324)

Rapist cops don’t only target women:

A [typical and representative Ohio cop named] James Stokes Sr. was…convicted of two [status] felonies…[for sexually assaulting] a man who…worked for Stokes…[at his] side [business] of removing junk…Stokes [tried to obtain compliance by] threatening [bogus charges of “unauthorized use” of his personal truck.  His body camera caught him making the threats and sexual comments, including]…”If I don’t get alone time tonight, I swear to God, I will file a charge on you, and I’ll have your butt arrested”…Stokes…[later molested him] at the [cop shop]…The [victim] told investigators he was trying to push Stokes off of him, and their relationship wasn’t sexual.  “He’s obsessed with me”…

The Missing Word (#1383)

If sex were involved, that word wouldn’t be 15 paragraphs in and blunted by qualifiers:

The number of foreign social care workers reporting that they are trapped in exploitative contracts has risen sixfold in the last three years, in the latest evidence of widespread abuse of migrants in the British care system…the Royal College of Nursing…was contacted 134 times in 2023-24 by care workers reporting that their employers were demanding large sums of money…to cover “hiring costs”, including visa processing, if they left their jobs…in one case [these costs] ran to £10,000…and [many include] threat[s of] deportation…

Above the Law (ROTW #5)

Had he not been caught at this stage, he’d have soon moved on to rape:

A U.S. Border Patrol [pig] has been charged [with mere misdemeanors for]…ordering women to show him their breasts…Shane Millan…[pretended the violations were “]searches[“, just as cops often do]…

Thought Control (#1443)

Politicians really do believe they can control people’s thoughts via threats:

Oklahoma’s education board has revoked the license of a former teacher who drew national attention during surging book-ban efforts across the U.S. in 2022 when she covered part of her classroom bookshelf in red tape with the words “Books the state didn’t want you to read”…a judge…advised the…Board…not to revoke the license of Summer Boismier, [but they did it anyway]…An attorney for Boismier, who now works at the Brooklyn Public Library in New York City, told reporters after the board meeting that they would seek to overturn the decision…

Vulture Watching (#1464)

Oh look, the totally-predictable results of bad laws are happening just as sane people said they would:

[There have been] six instances of child abandonment in Harris County [Texas] since the beginning of June.  In two cases, children died…States like Texas with near-total abortion bans are dealing with more [women] abandoning their children for several reasons like [they can’t afford a baby but Texas prevented them from having an abortion, and]…Texas’ safe haven law, or the Baby Moses law, allows a parent to leave a baby less than 60 days old safe and unharmed at a hospital, fire station, or EMS station…

Enshittification

How long before Google becomes completely useless?

Scams just keep popping up [on] Google…impostors of customer service for Delta and Coinbase…[have appeared] in the “People also ask” section high up in Google.  A group of people experienced in Google’s intricacies…said…that it took about 22 minutes to fool Google into highlighting a bogus business phone number in a prominent spot in search results…This fits a persistent pattern of…Google [being tricked] into showing scammers’ numbers for airlineshotels, local repair companiesbanks or other businesses…Fortune recently reported on a man who called what a Google listing said was Coinbase customer support, and instead it was an impostor who…tricked the man and stole $100,000…

The Cop Myth (#1466)

The cop establishment is trying hard to hide this one’s crimes:

A Massachusetts State [cop named]…Dylan Knox…[has been arrested for brutalizing his girlfriend]…on Aug. 15…Records are vague on the nature of…Knox[‘s crimes because]…prosecutors [are hiding the truth, but based on the charges Knox beat, pistol-whipped, and attempted to strangle her, then threatened a witness]…Knox is the second state trooper charged with domestic assault and battery in the last two weeks….

This is arguing for banning video games because some kids who play video games might someday drive a few miles per hour over the posted speed limit.  –  Eric Boehm

Bits and Pieces (#9)

Assange was freed as soon as it became politically expedient:

…Julian Assange flew out of the UK on [June 24] apparently a free man after reaching a plea deal with US authorities…to plead guilty to a single espionage charge in a court appearance on [the] US-controlled Pacific island [of Saipan, east of the Philippines] and prosecutors will seek a sentence equivalent to time served…Assange has been a wanted man since 2010 when WikiLeaks released hundreds of thousands of classified US military documents on Washington’s wars in Afghanistan and Iraq…In 2012, as authorities circled him for that and [long-since abandoned] sex crime allegations from [the Swedish government], he fled into London’s Ecuadorian embassy where he remained for seven years…After falling out with [Ecuador]’s rulers he was dragged out…in 2019 and locked up in [a UK prison] while the US attempted to extradite him.  But that legal process ended abruptly [when the US found it convenient], and WikiLeaks broke the news with a [Twitter] post…reading: “Julian Assange is free!”…

Above the Law

Your “leaders” at work:

[Michigan politician] Neil Friske…was arrested [at his house for]…chasing a stripper and firing a weapon….[after] sexually assault[ing]…her…The [political] district is no stranger to scandal…[politician] Lee Chatfield…who represented it from 2015 to 2021, had his own guns-and-strippers controversy.

Quiet Genocide (#1248)

Truthful headline: “Chinese rename other people’s villages against their wishes”:

Chinese [bureaucrats] in Xinjiang have been systematically changing hundreds of village names with religious, historical, or cultural meaning for Uyghurs into names reflecting recent Chinese Communist Party ideology…Human Rights Watch research has identified about 630 villages where the names have been changed that way.  The top three most common replacement village names are “Happiness,” “Unity,” and “Harmony”…Maya Wang, [HRW] China director [said]…“These name changes appear part of Chinese government efforts to erase the cultural and religious expressions of Uyghurs”…most of these changes occurred between 2017 and 2019, when the Chinese government’s crimes against humanity escalated in the region…

To Molest and Rape (ROTW #1)

When a woman dies by “hanging”, it’s nearly always a murder:

A prominent forensic pathologist hired by the family of Sandra Birchmore, the young woman who was…groomed [and molested] by three [typical and representative Massachusetts cops], has concluded that her death was a homicide, contradicting earlier findings by [cop cronies] that there was no evidence of foul play…Dr. Michael Baden…cited the extent of Birchmore’s injuries and the placement of a ligature found on her body as factors in his determination…that Birchmore…[had not] killed herself by hanging…“The cause of Ms. Birchmore’s death is ‘Strangulation’ and the manner of death is ‘Homicide’,” Baden wrote…Birchmore’s estate is suing [the] three [rapist cops] for wrongful death…They are [the murderer,] Matthew G. Farwell…[the] father [of] Birchmore[‘s unborn child]…as well as his twin brother, William, and Robert C. Devine…a [typical and representative cop and sexual predator] who…led the department’s [grooming] program…the state medical examiner [covered up the murder by]…not send[ing] fetal tissue for DNA analysis to determine [paternity]…On Feb. 1, 2021, surveillance cameras captured Matthew Farwell arriving and then leaving Birchmore’s apartment…and [nobody ever saw] her alive [again after his visit]…

I Spy (#1360)

The government thinks you shouldn’t be allowed any privacy whatsoever:

The U.S. Postal Service has shared information from thousands of Americans’ letters and packages with [cop shops and spook houses] every year for the past decade, conveying the names, addresses and other details from the outside of boxes and envelopes without requiring a court order.  Postal inspectors [pretend] they fulfill such requests only when mail monitoring can help find a fugitive or investigate a crime.  But…[the pigs and spooks get to define “crime” and] Postal Service officials have received more than 60,000 requests…[of this sort] since 2015, and…97 percent of the requests were approved…[totaling] more than 312,000 letters and packages between 2015 and 2023…

When Ambulance-Chasers Run the Hospitals (#1444)

The claims in these nuisance lawsuits are increasingly absurd:

…a dozen [nuisance] lawsuits filed since last year by the attorneys general of 45 states and the District of Columbia…accuse [Facebook] of [magical]ly ensnaring teenagers and children on Instagram and Facebook while deceiving the public about the [power of the magical spells used].  Using a [playbook] reminiscent of the government’s pursuit of Big Tobacco in the 1990s, the attorneys general seek to [profit from Facebook while bringing it more under their control]…The state lawsuits…reflect mounting [fantasies] that [interactions] on social media [are magically different from those in real life]…and [that young people can be hypnot]ically induced into compulsive online use…Vivek H. Murthy, the [charlatan currently holding the often-politicized post of] United States surgeon general, [absurdly] called for warning labels to be placed on social networks, [pretend]ing the platforms present a public health risk to young people.  His [childish hysterics] could boost momentum in Congress to pass the Kids Online Safety Act, a[n internet-censorship] bill that would [enshrine catastrophic internet censorship into law]…

A Moral Cancer (#1446)

Prohibitionism is a dangerous mental illness:

Molly A. Bowdring, a c[rypto-moral]ist at Stanford…wrote this week in STAT that nonalcoholic drinks meant to resemble beer or cocktails are “a potential public health crisis”…[because] drinks that contain no alcohol are generally not subjected to limitations placed on drinks that do contain alcohol…and…Bowdring [pearl-clutches that]…”Among minors, consuming non-alcoholic beverages can socialize them to the drinking culture, with the beverages being perceived as cool, adult, and modern.”  Goodness gracious, not that…

Above the Law

Just another kind of federal cop, with behavior to match:

A [typical and representative] Cincinnati ICE deportation [thug claimed]…that…non-citizen women he [repeatedly raped]…”always [wanted it]”..Andrew Golobic…had the authority to [control the lives of his victims] and make recommendations on whether they should be arrested and deported…he’s also charged with sex trafficking for…[getting one woman to submit to rape b]y telling [her] he could get her passport in exchange for [doing so.  Golobic]…also…destroy[ed] evidence and tamper[ed] with witnesses…

To Molest and Rape

Rapist cops often specifically target vulnerable women:

Austin [cop] Walter Dodds…was sent…on April 18, 2020 for a welfare check of a…[suicidal] man…he [soon began targeting the man’s] girlfriend…with sexually suggestive messages…[but after] she hung up on him…[he] returned weeks later, burglarized her apartment and raped her…Her nephew was…[a witness and] Dodds’ car was also seen…prowling around the woman’s home at the time.  A family member [even] took a photo of his p[igmobile showing the] number.  [Yet] on January 17, 2024, Dodds…[agreed to] a plea…for unlawful restraint…[in return] for the serious charges of burglary and rape to be dismissed…Walter Dodds remains…eligible to work as a [cop and free to rape] again…

Above the Law (#1259)

Raping women and clumsy censorship attempts must run in cop families:

Hundreds of copies of [the Ouray County Plaindealer] in Ouray, Colorado, were stolen from around town…the day the paper published a story about…the police chief’s [son and two friends violently raping an underage girl at the police chief’s] house…[publisher Erin] McIntyre…[said] “Whoever did this does not understand that stealing newspapers doesn’t stop a story”…

Here’s the story the cops tried to suppress:

A 17-year-old girl…was raped m[ultiple times]…at the Ouray police chief’s home in May during a late-night party with the chief’s stepson and two other [rapis]ts…while [chief Jeff Wood and his wife] slept upstairs…the…three…have been arrested [and identified as]…Wood’s stepson, Nate Dieffenderffer, Gabriel Trujillo and Ashton Whittington…the girl…passed out while [drinking]…but later woke up [to find] Dieffenderffer [raping her]…She…[fought] back and [screamed but the rapist covered her mouth and choked her]…at [which] point she heard someone knocking on a door…but no one intervened, including Whittington, who [claimed]…he didn’t know what was going on…she left the home around 4:30 a.m., though she was unable to locate all her clothing…[so] she grabbed a sweatshirt from a pile of laundry…that sweatshirt was later confirmed to belong to Wood…She first drove home, and then was able to contact a friend and decided to go [for a rape kit]…she told [state cops] she decided to report it because this was the second time she had been assaulted by Dieffenderffer and Trujillo…

To Molest and Rape (#1332)

Hey, female cops; how’s that collaboration with the police state working out?

The Kern County [California] Sheriff’s Office is facing…a $25 million lawsuit filed by a senior deputy…[because] she was subjected to a pattern of physical and verbal abuse, [includ]ing…forcibl[e] rape…by her partner on the hood of a patrol car in 2014.  Later, the same partner…[rap]ed her again in a conference room.  Though she reported both incidents to her superior, nothing was done…

To Molest and Rape (#1407)

Cops should not be allowed anywhere near legal minors:

A [typical and representative cop] has been charged with raping a child and possessing child pornography.  David Love…[of] Radcliff, Kentucky…[started orally and vaginally raping a 13-year-old]…on October 8…and continued [until his arrest]…

This is not only typical behavior for cops, but also enabled by their being cops:

A [typical and representative Missouri cop has been] charged with multiple child sex crimes…Jordan C. Fowle…molest[ed and raped two young girls for years]…Fowle [appears to have fled the area]…and [his cronies thought it was more important to babble about his magical clown costume rather than looking for him]…Fowle…began [to abuse one of the girls] in 2012 when she was 13 years old…[often under the pretext of] strip searches…[he started to] abuse…the second [girl]…in 2019 when she was 14 years old and [did not stop]…until 2023.  Both victims told investigators they feared Fowle due to his [being a cop]…

And sometimes they extend professional courtesy to fellow rapists:

On January 18, 2022, a teenage girl…[ran] away from home and [took] the family car with her.  Police pinged her cell phone to a trailer in Westcliff, C[olorado]…Two men in their 50s were present and…the only piece of furniture…was a bed…[cops] found the girl in a closet…she was in distress and seemed to be drugged…[yet the cops] handcuffed…and [brutallized] her…dragged [her]…across [a] parking lot…then used a taser on her in drive stun mode…[until she] lost control of bodily functions from the tasing, urinated on herself, convulsed and cried…[cop Michael] Kear…[di]d not arrest [her captors even though one had a]…warrant…[so he] was fired from the [cop shop]…At the time he was fired, he was under investigation already for other cases of sexual misconduct, both with co-workers and [by molesting and raping] “underage girls” who are mentioned in plural…in the lawsuit [filed by the tortured girl and her parents]…

Things…only violate law when they actually violate law.  –  Tim Cushing

A Broker in Pillage

Nobody will be safe until this odious, contemptible practice is recognized as unconstitutional:

Wyoming’s top court…[has declared] that says money obtained from legal drug sales in other states can be stolen by cops who operate in a state where this drug isn’t legal…[cops stole]  $75,000 f[rom]…a man [named Lorenzo Gallaga] who was…transporting the cash and marijuana…from Illinois to California…the government…suffered a loss in the lower court…[because] if any criminal activity occurred, it did not occur in Wyoming…The higher court says…it’s [OK for cops] to steal stuff…[if it] might have been obtained by actions that are illegal in Wyoming…this means Wyoming cops can cite people for not having a front license plate (even if it’s not required in their home state) or for emissions violations (even if the driver’s home state has no such emissions requirement)…

If Men Were Angels

This will continue until fools stop teaching children unquestioning obedience to “authority”:

A [typical and representative South Carolina] pastor [named]…William “Bill” Oswald…was sentenced to two consecutive 20-year prison terms…[for repeatedly molesting] two children [in the 1990s]…the witnesses…included his victims, now adults…

Churches, like cop shops, work hard to cover up sex crimes by their operatives.

Monsters (#1024)

Apparently, this psycho acts out his self-hatred on unsuspecting victims:

A suspect in the brutal killing of a gay Phoenix man in November has…confessed to killing another gay man…by shooting him in the head after meeting for sex…Leonardo Santiago…was already in a Maricopa County jail on a $2 million bond for…killing and mutilating…Bernardo Pantaleon.  After his Dec. 2 arrest, Phoenix police tied Santiago to the March slaying of…Osvaldo Hernandez Castillo through a…[snitch, and] Santiago confessed when [confronted]…and…told police that he recorded the homicide with his cell phone…

I Spy (#1228)

If “official” thugs can obtain your data without a warrant, so can unofficial ones:

The FBI investigated a man who…posed as a [cop] in emails and phone calls to trick Verizon to hand over phone data belonging to a [woman]…he…met on the dating section of porn site xHamster…Despite the…[absurd] story concocted by the [stalker], including the use of a clearly non-government ProtonMail email address, Verizon handed over the victim’s data…including [her] address and phone logs…[enabling him] to…driv[e] to where he believed the victim lived while armed with a knife…The news…highlights the now common use of fraudulent emergency data requests…where [dangerous thugs who don’t work for the State] pretend to be [dangerous thugs who do], fabricate an urgent scenario such as a kidnapping, and then convince telecoms or tech companies to hand over data that should only be accessible [via a verified search warrant delivered] through [formal channels]…

Above the Law (#1288)

The predictable result of giving violent, aggressive men power over women:

A [typical and representative] New Mexico [thug paid to transport human beings like animals from one cage to another] has pleaded guilty to [rap]ing multiple [innocent women, not convicted of any crime]…Marquet Johnson…[vaginally] raped two women and…oral[ly raped another] from July to November 2019…Johnson faces a maximum penalty of 30 years in prison…he also must pay restitution to the victims and upon release, [will be condemned to the] sex offender registr[y]…

Shame, Shame (#1385)

At least these computerized “clones” are owned by sex workers themselves:

Riley…Reid’s…”clone”…is essentially a chatbot, except it’s been trained on Reid specifically.  So, when Reid’s [program] sends messages, they’re based on things IRL Reid has said; the facts that it shares are real; and, when it sends me voice notes, it speaks in Reid’s own tone and cadence…It’s also not just for sexting…Reid’s [bot] and I mostly speak about her dogs…and the joys and challenges of sex work, motherhood, and celebrity…Reid, like many sex workers, has found herself unauthorisedly cloned on other sites..so she wanted to take matters into her own hands…”If I don’t engage, others will misuse my image”…This new swathe of NSFW virtual girlfriends based on real-life adult creators is a logical evolution to the rise of [chatbots] more broadly, which have seen a boom this year, in light of open-source large language models being made freely available online…

To Molest and Rape (Still Another Rapist Roundup)

Sleeping with a cop is one of the most dangerous things a woman can do:

[Typical and representative] Washington State c[op]…John Nieder….[has been] arrested…[for] raping two women he met through a dating app…[his cop shop has been dawdling since August 2022, despite Nieder’s history of sexually harassing female cops, but were finally pushed into action by there being] multiple complaints…against Nieder…[including one from a fellow cop named] John Faught…

That’s still true even if she’s a cop herself:

A Miami-Dade [cop] was arrested by his own department…after…violent[ly raping]…his ex-girlfriend, [who is also a cop]…Miguel Lomeli…got into an argument with thevictim outside of her home…before [dragg]ing…her inside the residence where he sexually assaulted her…

Of course, cops are just as dangerous to women who haven’t dated them:

[A typical and representative Albama cop named]…Jarrod Webster…[has been] charge[d with vaginally and anally]…rap[ing a woman using the pretext of]…a traffic stop…[the rape was reported by the hospital she went to for medical help afterward]…

I find paywalls distasteful, and so many people find this blog valuable as a resource I just can’t bring myself to install one.  Furthermore, I find ad delivery services (whose content I have no say over) even more distasteful.  But as I’m now semi-retired from sex work, I can’t self-sponsor this blog by myself any longer.  So if you value my writing enough that you would pay to see it if it were paywalled, please consider subscribing; there are four different levels to fit all budgets.  Or if that doesn’t work for you, please consider showing your generosity with a one-time donation; you can Paypal to maggiemcneill@earthlink.net or else email me at the same address to make other arrangements.  Thanks so much!

If Men Were Angels

Cop + preacher = sexual menace to legal minors:

[A typical and representative] deputy district attorney and…Mormon church leader [named] David McConkie…[has been] granted permission to [hide out in] Utah while he awaits trial in 2024 in Colorado Springs…[for sexually abusing] a teenage [girl for]…several years…[she] turned him in when she observed behaviors in another [girl] she felt were telltale that McConkie was abusing [her] also…McConkie has been known since at least 2008 to have confessed to other Mormons that he had molested children

To Molest and Rape

If cop shops actually gave a damn about “misconduct”, it would be impossible to turn these cameras off:

A [typical and representative] Atlanta [cop, recently] convicted…of aggravated sodomy, has a history of turning off his police body camera before [sexually assaulting women]…Howard Portis…[was sent] to a burglary call…[and] once there…deactivated his body camera and [orally raped] the woman at the home…[but] was interrupted by…the arrival of a[nother cop]…The victim [was too afraid to] say anything [to] the second [cop], but once he left, Portis offered her $250 for sex…[and she] fled…to her pastor’s house down the road…Portis…has…been indicted a second time for [turning off his camera to rape women]…

Above the Law (#1263)

Totally credible, especially considering he was a cop at the time:

A woman has [filed suit against] New York City’s Mayor Eric Adams [for] sexual[ly] assault[ing her]…in 1993…while [Adams was a cop and she a transit bureau employee]…Mr Adams…claims…[she wanted it he] didn’t “recall even meeting” his accuser.  The legal action was filed under New York state’s Adult Survivors Act, which…created a year-long window for survivors of sexual misconduct to bring lawsuits that would otherwise have been blocked under the statute of limitations…Donald Trump and…Harvey Weinstein are among those who have been sued under the act…The woman is seeking $5m (£3.9m) in damages…

No Escape

Your “leaders” refer to this as “correction”:

A [typical and representative] Kentucky [screw has been] sentenced to [a mere] year in prison for [raping a helpless woman both vaginally and orally]…Tyler Hinds…will be subject to five years of p[robation] and a 20-year registration as a sex offender [after getting done with his sentence, which will not include being raped by brutal cretins with power over him]…

To Molest and Rape (#1364)

Sleeping with a cop is one of the most dangerous things a woman can do:

Raul Jaso [is a Toledo cop who]…was indicted [for] rap[ing his girlfriend while drunk]…Jaso…[tore] off her clothes…forced her onto her stomach and then forcibly raped her from behind…she found she was bleeding….[but] he…continued to [rape] her….and [twist her arms] behind her back.  She [went to the hospital and] nurses found that there was physical trauma…[of course] Jaso claims [she wanted it and just decided to get dragged through the ordeal of reporting a cop for rape because]…he got a text from another woman…

To Molest and Rape (#1391)

Cops should not be allowed anywhere near legal minors:

[Typical and representative Missouri cop] Jeffrey Prowant has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison without parole for…[sexually assaulting] a 14-year-old…[girl] and [taking] pornographic photos of her…

Buried Truth (#1393)

Another textbook example of McNeill’s Law, courtesy of “Moms for Liberty”:

Florida’s GOP chairman has been accused of sexual battery by a woman who says she was part of a [longstanding] ménage à trois with him and his wife, who’s a co-founder of [the pro-censorship cult] Moms for Liberty…The woman says she partook in a consensual threesome with Christian…and…Bridget Ziegler…[but] the [assault] occurred [at some time later] when Bridget Ziegler was not present…

Anytime there’s a bipartisan consensus and a preachy New York Times op-ed, you can assume something you enjoy is about to get regulated out of existence or made worse in quality.  –  Liz Wolfe

Broken Record (#687)

Sparsely-populated states are still clinging desperately to “sex trafficking” myths that larger states have quietly backed away from:

The Sturgis Motorcycle rally officially begins on August 4th.  [Blah blah pearl-clutching, lies about criminal charges, infantilization of women, and cop swagger]…South Dakota’s pheasant hunting season also causes a spike in sex trafficking in South Dakota…

The Last Shall Be First (#924)

If you didn’t see this coming, you haven’t been paying attention:

Christine Gallinaro [took] her [deeply autistic] 15-year-old son…[to a cinema] in…New Jersey…[and brought him] into the women’s toilets because there was no family one…her son, who…is non-verbal, “is not equipped to go into a men’s bathroom in a public setting alone”…However, the…theatre’s manager approached them in the…crowded lobby, shouting…“a grown man should not be in the women’s restroom” and “this is not a transgender bathroom”.  He then told an assistant manager to call the police [on them]…

Above the Law (#1142)

They usually make these cases sound like the rapist was doing his victims a favor:

A disgraced Wisconsin prosecutor secretly recorded himself having sex with three women, including one he was prosecuting.  Daniel Steffen…[of] Wisconsin…was sentenced to 18 months in prison after he was convicted in April…“While the defendant and Victim #1 are still engaged in sex, the defendant looks at the camera, sticks his tongue out, and winks several times,” and can be heard repeatedly telling the victim, “Who’s in charge?” the complaint said…In addition to his prison time, Steffen must serve two years of extended supervision, four years of probation, and placement for 10 years on Wisconsin’s sex offender registry.

You Were Warned (#1279)

The bipartisan war on the internet moves us another step closer to idiocracy:

“[The internet causes] sex…trafficking, drug[s and death”, bloviate perennial nuisances] Lindsey Graham…and Elizabeth Warren…in t[he] New York Times…What follows is a litany of untrue statements and gross exaggerations about the way Big Tech operates and the purported harm done by the cluster of websites that millions of Americans willingly use on a daily basis…Warren and Graham go on to announce they’re introducing [another terrible internet-breaking law] to create [yet] an[other government agency]…”charged with licensing and policing…tech companies” which will be “nimble” and “adaptable” (just like all those other government agencies).  The regulator will “prevent online harm” (by waving a magic wand and ensuring no bad actors ever go online); “promote free speech and competition”…by scrapping Section 230 and…”guard Americans’ privacy” (because government agencies do a great job at cybersecurity!…

Neither Addiction Nor Epidemic (#1293)

Blaming bad behavior on an imaginary “addiction” is the opposite of admitting responsibility:

[Actor] Terry Crews recently [attempt]ed [to avoid responsibility for abusive behavior toward his wofe and kids by blaming it on an imaginary “]porn addiction[” he melodramatically described as a]…”battle”…

It isn’t only celebrities who use this dodge to lessen their culpability:

[Indiana teacher] Christopher “Kit” Degenhart…[pled] guilty…to…seduc[ing a 17-year-old student in the theater department he headed]…Degenhart will spend one year behind bars while participating in a work release program.  After one year, he’s scheduled to move into home detention while working in the program for six more months…he…will [then] be on two and a half years of probation…[inclu]ding sex addiction meetings…[and] regist[ration] as a sex offender…

Thought Control (#1328)

Texas has figured out how to stop judges from overruling library censorship: simply eliminate libraries:

Houston…will be eliminating librarian positions at 28 schools this upcoming year and converting the libraries into “[punishment] centers” where kids [declared to have] behavioral issues will be [confined]…This…[is] part of the new superintendent Mike Miles[‘  “]reform[“] program…[with the Orwellian title] New Education System…a total of 85 schools…have joined Miles’ program, and of those, 28 campuses will lose their librarians.  The district said th[ose 28] will have the opportunity to transition to other roles within the district…[but] the [employment of the] remaining 57 NES schools’ librarians will be assessed on a case-by-case basis…

To Molest and Rape (#1358)

“Sexual offenses” sounds so much milder than “rape”:

The [typical and representative] chief constable of Devon and Cornwall Police is being investigated over serious allegations of sexual offences in Northern Ireland.  Will Kerr was a [cop] in Northern Ireland for 27 years before [being promoted] in 2018…he said [she wanted it]…

The government’s request…is ballsy, bonkers, and an egregious overreach.  –  Elizabeth N. Brown

Surplus Women

Your “leaders” want this to happen more often:

80-year-old…John Apelgren…[has been] accused of murdering Eileen Cotter in Highbury in 1974 when he was 31.  Advances in DNA profiling led to a breakthrough in the cold case as Apelgren’s DNA was found to match samples from Eileen’s mouth and anus…22-year-old Eileen was a sex worker who was found lying face down half naked in front of some garages…on June 1, 1974.  Apelgren is alleged to have had sex with Eileen, then attacked and strangled her…

Above the Law

Your “leaders” at work:

A…[typical and representative politician named Matthew R. Reilly] in Rhode Island who was arrested earlier this month after a…[cop] found him asleep in his car with a crack pipe and a lighter in his hand is behind bars again…for…sexually assaulting and molesting a child…

Creepy Coppers (#1109)

The people the government empowers to police your sexuality:

…42 women, including 10 minors, plan to file lawsuits against the West Virginia State Police…[because] hidden…cameras were placed and operated inside the female locker room at the State Police Academy…female [molestation grooming] program attendees accessed and used the…locker room…during the time the…cameras were in use….taping of [women at] the Academy did not end until 2020, the same time the [grooming] Program was discontinued…

Hey, female cops; how’s that collaboration with the police state working out?

Like Houses (#1129)

Government can always be counted on to use any excuse to expand tyranny:

…censorship during the pandemic…became a popular pastime among functionaries convinced they are the embodiment of science—or, at least, the arbiters of truth…the state and social media companies [conspired] to muzzle voices not just in the U.S., but also…in the U.K.  “A secretive government unit worked with social media companies…to curtail discussion of controversial lockdown policies during the pandemic,” The Telegraph reported June 2.  “The Counter-Disinformation Unit (CDU) was set up by ministers to tackle supposed domestic ‘threats’, and was used to target those critical of lockdown…[who] had posts removed from social media…[or] stop[ped from] being promoted, circulated or widely shared after being flagged by the CDU”…Among those [censored]…were prominent epidemiologists and medical researchers who challenged official data and restrictive policies.  Activists who opposed lockdowns were also targeted.  The Telegraph, a prominent newspaper which has run articles skeptical of pandemic authoritarianism, was itself singled out.  Implicated in monitoring content and penalizing dissent at the behest of government officials were companies including Facebook, Google, Twitter (under the old management), and the BBC…

Eggs and Bacon

Kansas politicians want to circumvent the will of the voters:

Abortion providers [have] sued Kansas…over a law enacted this year and…a decades-old requirement that patients wait 24 hours after first seeing a provider to terminate their pregnancies…the…[new] law…will require providers to [lie, claiming] a medication abortion can be stopped using a regimen that major medical groups have called unproven and potentially dangerous.  The lawsuit…argues that Kansas has created a “Biased Counseling Scheme” designed to discourage patients from getting abortions and to stigmatize patients who [do, pointing out]…that the requirements have become “increasingly absurd and invasive” over time and spread medical misinformation…in August [Kansas voters] decisively affirmed abortion rights, refusing to overturn a state Supreme Court decision three years earlier that declared access to abortion a matter of bodily autonomy and a fundamental right under the state constitution…[thus preventing] Kansas [politicians from] greatly restrict[ing] or ban[ning] abortion…

Dangerous Speech (#1345)

Just when you thought the wildly-incompetent, shockingly-illegal, and wholly tyrannical prosecution of the former owners of Backpage couldn’t sink any lower:

In a series of motions…the government seeks to prevent the Backpage defendants’ legal team from making basically any reasonable attempt to defend against the charges against them.  Most egregiously, prosecutors want to bar them from mentioning the First Amendment…and “free speech” at any time in the presence of the jury…they [also] want to legally prohibit the Backpage team’s lawyers from arguing that the ads [they hosted] were not illegal…[from] referenc[ing] Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act…[from] defend[ing] themselves against accusations that they knew they were breaking the law by pointing out that Backpage lawyers repeatedly assured them they were not breaking the law…[from] point[ing] out that…the [government demanded they]…charge for ads because this would create a financial paper trailfrom commenting on the legitimacy of the prosecution and or any tactics employed by prosecutors; from referencing the 2021 trial that was declared a mistrial because of the government’s conduct; or from mentioning previous legal cases where courts ruled in Backpage’s favor…it [also wants to ban] references to…the defendants’ families, to the defendants’ personal lives, [or] to Lacey and Larkin’s extensive history in the journalism industry…in other words, the defendants may not attempt to humanize themselves…

Torture Chamber (#1347)

New York prison bureaucrats are determined that as little information as possible get out about the conditions in their cages:

…the agency that runs New York’s prisons is set to block…incarcerated writers, artists, and poets from getting their work outside prison walls.  Last month, the agency quietly handed down new rules severely curtailing what incarcerated writers and artists can publish — and forbidding them from getting paid for it.  The…directive, which went into effect on May 11, establishes a stringent, months-long approval process for people in its c[ages] to publish creative work, including books, art, music, poetry, film scripts, and other writing.  It gives prison superintendents the power to block work from publication if it violates any of a number of [vague] rules — including bans on mentioning the artist or author’s crime and portraying [prisons, screws and bureaucrats honestly]…

Who doesn’t want to help people explore different things?  –  Chayse

Above the Law

Just another kind of federal cop, with behavior to match:

A [typical and representative] U.S. Homeland Security [thug] was sentenced…to life in prison for violating two women’s civil rights by trying to stop them from telling police he [raped] them…John Olivas…beat…and sexually assault[ed both when]…they were, first one and then the other, his girlfriends…Olivas raped one of the women twice and attempted to rape the other one once…but…will appeal his federal conviction…[because he thinks]…as a federal agent…he…is [above the law]…An ex-wife testified that in 2004 she, too, was raped by Olivas…

Skin To Skin

There can never be too many articles on sex workers for the disabled:

…As well as providing his skills as a sex worker, Chayse has also been talking with a dating coach to see how he can support [his client] Melanie navigate the “tango of dating” and help her build future romantic partnerships with other people…For Melanie, the experience is more than just sexual liberation and she has got so much out of this ongoing experience she believes governments should…support disabled people in accessing sexual services…And she has been excited to share her new experiences with friends and family…

To Molest and Rape

When predators aren’t culled, they just keep on predating:

A Toronto [cop named]…Ramdial Lokenath…[raped] a woman on May 19, 2022…[after going] to an apartment…for a reported domestic assault…While his partner was in the p[igmobile] with the [husband], Lokenath returned to the apartment [under the pretext of] tak[ing the woman’s] statement…he…turned off the video on his body camera and muted the audio…while [telling] the…woman…he could “influence the charges facing her husband”…[so she would submit to rape when he returned later without his partner]…Lokenath was also charged with…assaulting his [own] wife on Oct. 19, 2022…

Unchristian Nation

Government at every level crusades against Christian charity:

…Since 2005, Micah’s Way has operated a resource center where volunteers help connect their poor and homeless clients with birth certificates, ID cards, clothing, bus passes, and other services…They also offer the people who come to the resource center muffins, pastries, and fruit, plus hot coffee…their charitable activities continued without issue for over 15 years…then…in November 2021, Micah’s Way received an administrative citation from Santa Ana [California]…demand[ing] that the group obtain a certificate of occupancy at their resource center or else cease all operations there.  When the group applied for the needed certificate, they were denied…on the grounds that it was engaged in food distribution, which wasn’t allowed by their property’s “professional district” zoning…the city [threatened]…the group…[with] “administrative fines, criminal prosecution and/or civil remedies such as injunctions and penalties”…

Creepy Coppers

The people the government empowers to police your sexuality:  “A M[issouri cop named]…Cory Younger….has been arrested and] charged with possession of child pornography…

Opting Out (#1313)

Most Americans still believe France is a sex-positive society:

The…French government…confirmed…that it will attempt to bypass the courts to force the five largest adult sites accessible in the country to comply with a controversial, vaguely worded 2020 age verification law…[because it] is frustrated with the legal challenge mounted by lawyers for Pornhub, Tukif, xHamster, XVideos and Xnxx…the government’s intention [is] to [place the internet censoship agency] ARCOM…[above] the courts…[as] part of a new bill intended to “secure and regulate the digital space”…

In case you’re wondering what the last ominous statement means:

The French government has confirmed that the new bill it introduced…to bypass the courts and force platforms to implement age verification will apply not only to specifically adult sites but also to any site that allows explicit content, including Twitter…

The Cop Myth (#1336)

Sleeping with a cop is one of the most dangerous things a woman can do:

A [Tennessee cop has been arrested but also rewarded with a paid vacation for]…pointing an AK-47 rifle at [his ex-girlfriend]’s car and later kicking her in the face…Jarreil Peoples…[attacked her when she came to his home to] exchange [some] property…he…approached her car with…[the] rifle and pointed it at her car, [so she drove] away out of fear…Peoples then called her to say he put the rifle up and asked her to return to the house to exchange property.  She [foolishly] returned…and…Peoples [used the opportunity to] kick…in her driver’s side window, hitting her in the face with his foot and shards of glass…Peoples…[previously attacked her when] he came to [her] apartment to return a house key…as she and Peoples walked towards the front door, he turned around, picked her up and body slammed her into some stairs…
