When a movement reaches a point of threat, the powers that be begin actively trying to scare them out of existence.  –  Dan Berger

Do As I Say, Not As I Do

Apparently, this wasn’t a rape attempt, just a cop being a dumbass:

A San Diego [cop named]…Anthony Hair…arrested [a woman] on suspicion of stealing a car outside a convenience store…She also had a bench warrant out for her arrest…In bodycam footage released by the SDPD, [s]he…was heard…off[ering him] sex [in exchange for letting her go, saying]…“What’s it gonna hurt me if I work the system, you know what I mean? That’s the way I see shit”…Hair turned off his bodycam and [parked in] a residential street, the[n]…about 20 minutes later…called for a[nother member of his gang] to help him out of the p[igmobile because he had accidentally locked himself into the back seat while collecting his bribe]…Hair [tried to claim that he was there because he] believed the woman was suffering from a medical emergency…[but] police found traces of semen on Hair’s belt…

Down Under

Kaytlin Bailey on the realities of sex work Down Under:

What does decriminalized sex work look like in practice?  People in…New South Wales…and New Zealand know the answer, because they decriminalized sex work decades ago.  I recently spent six weeks touring my one-woman show, Whore’s Eye View, in Australia and New Zealand, where I met sex workers, clients, and brothel owners who negotiate sexual services openly without fear of arrest.  After my shows, people from the sex industry—both workers and clients—stayed to tell me their stories…Decriminalization has reduced violence and sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and it has made it easier for sex workers to hold people accountable who try to hurt them…

The Face of Trafficking

Note that cases of actual coercion don’t look much like the myths:

Ikbahl Singh Machhal…and [his mother] Shila Devi…were bound over to stand trial…on…Human Trafficking [charges]..for…forc[ing Machal’s wife] to move from Pennsylvania to Michigan when…Devi [bought a convenience store]…in Michigan…[they forced her to] work…at the…store…[without] pay…for…8 to 9 hours a day, 7 days a week, against her will and under threat of severe physical, mental, and emotional abuse…for approximately 8 years [starting in 2012] until the victim [fled] with the assistance of…a…domestic violence char[ity]…

To Molest and Rape

Rapist cops often specifically target vulnerable women:

A [typical and representative Indianapolis cop named]…Myron Howard…ha[s] been…[arrested and] charged…with rape…and various other [associated crimes after specifically targeting]…a domestic violence [victim]…after [her] boyfriend was arrested…Howard [returned to her]…house [after the other cops left and threatened her with jail if she refused]…him…he rep[ea]tedly [harassed her via text]…messaging…[over the next] month…[so] she [eventually gathered the courage to]…report…[him].  When interviewed by detectives, Howard admitted to [fuck]ing…the woman…but [claimed] she had [not only wanted it but initiated it]…He also [absurdly claimed that] “ladies hit on me a lot”, and…admitted [to raping other women, but pretended] that…[the] victims [had wanted it those times as well]…IMPD Chief Bailey [barfed up nonsense about how this typical and representative cop was not representative]…

The Cop Myth (#1403)

Most coverage of this story hides the fact that the abuser was a screw:  “A [Connecticut screw named David Martins] died by suicide [after beating his wife]…on [May 25th.  Fortunately the wife’s]… injuries [were] not considered life-threatening…

Stalkers in Blue (#1408)

Cops are nothing more than state-sponsored terrorists:

Atlanta police have been carrying out around-the-clock surveillance in several neighborhoods for months, on people and houses linked to opposition against the police training center colloquially known as “Cop City”.  The surveillance…has included following people in cars, blasting sirens outside bedroom windows and shining headlights into houses at night…The ongoing actions started soon after an 8 February pre-dawn, Swat-style raid on three…houses in which [pigs] and [ATF spooks]…sought evidence relating to arson of construction and police equipment…Social movement historian Dan Berger said this low-tech type of surveillance and related behavior – blasting sirens and flashing lights, following people – has precedence dating at least to the civil rights era.  He called the actions “naked intimidation with plausible deniability attached to it”…

No Escape (ROTW #11)

Once again: it does not help young victims of state violence to infantilize them as “children”.

Dozens of [legal minors] suffered physical and sexual abuse including violent rapes inside juvenile [prison]s and similar facilities in Pennsylvania, according to four related lawsuits..[which] describe how 66 people, now adults…were victimized by guards, nurses, supervisors and others…attacks [that] were reported…were ignored or met with disbelief…Jerome Block, who…[filed the suits]…has also pursued similar lawsuits in Illinois, MarylandNew Jersey and Michigan

To Molest and Rape

Once a cop, always a cop:

A [typical and representative Pennsylvania] police chief [named]…John Berger…[has been] arrested…[for] sexual assault…[Berger] was fired from [his boss pig job] last May following a raid by federal agents…he [began working] at DreamLife Recovery…in January as a Behavioral Health Technician following a stint at the drug and alcohol rehab center as a patient and his firing as the Ligonier Valley Police Chief…he… “would make unwanted sexual advances towards [one of the patients] almost daily”…and…on [April 29th]…went into [her] room while she was sleeping…and “forcefully started to kiss her”…then groped her and…oral[ly raped her]…Berger [has confessed] to the charges…

No Escape (#683)

Your “leaders” refer to this as “correction”:

An Indiana man is suing [because] he was [repeatedly] sexually assaulted by a [screw named]…Jason Bertram…[while] the man was [on probation]…Bertram…indicated to him that he would keep him out of jail if (he) would s[ubmit to]…Bertram[‘s]…sexual a[dvances]…Bertram [also] gave him methamphetamine, which…he had not used in the past…[when he] was later [back in jail] Bertram [repeatedly] put [him] in areas with…surveillance…blind spots to obtain access to (him)…He was eventually released from jail, but later arrested again on charges related to his meth addiction, which…started after Bertram provided him with drugs.  The man went on to report the abuse to multiple [big pigs and screw bureaucrats]…but…they…willfully…[refus]ed to stop Bertram from abusing (the man) and other incarcerated people…On Jan. 11, 2023, Bertram was [finally] criminally charged…[for] abus[ing]…the man…[and] three other[s]…Six days later…[he committed] suicide…

To Molest and Rape (#787)

It couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy:

A [typical and representative] NYPD [cop]…who w[as also a fine example of McNeill’s Law] has been ordered [to] pay $30 million for [repeatedly rap]ing two of his nieces when they were young girls.  Nicholas Mcateer…was sentenced in 2018 to 18 years in prison …The victims…[came] forward [when] they were adults and filed a lawsuit for emotional distress in 2020…

To Molest and Rape (#1337)

This one prowled for any kind of victim he could find:

A [typical and representative Oregon cop] has been sentenced to 12 and a half years in prison for molesting two children in Salem.  Cenobio Jauregui…sexually abused two children under 14 years old…on several occasions between 2019 and 2023…Jauregui still has a pending criminal case for a misdemeanor charge…[for repeatedly pester]ing a woman [locked in a cage]…he [sexually harassed her, repeatedly] knocked on her window [to prevent her from sleeping,] and watched her…

To Molest and Rape (ROTW #5)

Hey, female cops; how’s that collaboration with the police state working out?

A [typical and representative] Hamilton [Ontario cop] will not go to jail [despite repeatedly] sexually assaulting the woman he was mentoring as she pursued her own career in policing.  Michael LaCombe…will instead s[kate with a mere] 12 months of house arrest followed by 12 months of probation after Justice Cameron Watson [coddled] him…[by patting his little piggy bottom and assuring him that] he wouldn’t spend any time in jail at a sentencing hearing last month — before…he [even] hear[d]…the arguments of both sides…LaCombe was the victim’s instructor when she was a teenager in the Air Cadets, and then when she was an adult, her mentor…

To Molest and Rape (#1431)

Give sexually-aggressive thugs power over kids; what could possibly go wrong?

A [cop] assigned to [spy on, harass, and intimidate students at a Pennsylvania] middle school…is being charged with sexual assault…and related crimes…Costas Alestas…was [rewarded with a paid vacation for molesting and raping at least one student]…of…grade…sixth through eighth…on April 24 an[other cop paid to spy on, harass, and intimidate students in the same county, named] John “J.T.” Smoke…[was arrested] for…having sent a [dick pic] to an underage student…

No Escape (ROTW #10)

This will continue as long as sexually-aggressive men are given power over young women:

…sexual abuse at Illinois juvenile [cage stacks] was pervasive and systemic for decades, according to…a lawsuit filed…by 95 men and women [locked up in] the [prison]s as [minors]…from 1996 to 2017…[the abuse included] gang rape…oral [rape], beatings and groping of [young prisoners] by [screw]s…nurses, [“]therapists[“], a chaplain and others at nine [cage stacks]…[victims] were threatened or rewarded to keep quiet…The lawsuit…follows similar [wholly predictable reports] of…sex abuse at juvenile [cage stack]s in MarylandNew JerseyNew Hampshire, California and New York City

Once again: it does not help young victims of state violence to infantilize them as “children”.

I can’t breathe.  –  Demetrio Jackson

I Can’t Breathe

Paramedics should not be injecting people with powerful drugs for the convenience of cops:

…The practice of [forcibly inject]ing sedatives [in]to people detained by police [without the victim’s consent] has spread quietly across the nation over the last 15 years, built on [pseudo]science…backed by police-aligned expertsAt least 94 people died [in this way between]…2012 [and] 2021…That’s nearly 10% of the more than 1,000 deaths identified during [an] investigation of people subdued by police in ways that are not supposed to be fatal.  About half of the 94…were Black…Behind the racial disparity is a [make-believe] medical condition called excited delirium, which fueled the rise of sedation outside hospitals…the [investigation] found…[that most of the victims were] agitated people…held by police facedown…handcuffed and with [pigs sitt]ing on their backs…[while they] struggled to breathe and tried to get free.  [Barfing out the magic cop word “]combativeness[” justified cops demanding] paramedics administer…sedatives, [predictably] slowing their breathing.  Cardiac and respiratory arrest often occurred within minutes…

Censorship Ascendant

Cops claim reporting their crimes is “an inherent danger to the community”:

Calling her “an inherent danger to the community,” prosecutors [have] asked a Miami judge to throw a 51-year-old [woman] back into jail for posting news articles on Facebook recounting her arrest on charges of stalking a Miami [cop] who had [murder]ed her mentally ill son.  Prosecutors say Gamaly Hollis violated a judge’s order against using social media by sharing several stories this week about the June 2022 [murder] of her son…Richard Hollis…by [cop] Jaime Pino…a year earlier, [Pino] had [threate]ned [to murder] her son if he ever [saw him holding] a gun…Hollis…took to the streets and the internet, [truthfully] calling [murderous pig] Pino a killer and once confronting him [in public.  Cops] arrested her on charges of aggravated stalking, resisting arrest and trespassing.  After a year in jail, she was [recently] released on bond…[but cops are scheming to] jail [her] again — this time simply for sharing news stories, without comment, on Facebook…

You Were Warned (#1383)

Australia’s rulers seem even more eager to destroy the internet than US rulers:

…An Australian judge…[petulantly demanded] that [Twitter] must block every user in the world from accessing video of a bishop being stabbed in a Sydney church…Despite disagreeing with the…takedown order, [Twitter]’s Global Government Affairs team…”complied with the directive pending a legal challenge“…[but now Australian politicians and bureaucrats want to] control…what can be seen by people…every place on the globe outside Australia’s borders.  If Canberra can impose its rules across the world on any online platform that happens to do business in Australia, why can’t China, or Russia, or Saudi Arabia do the same?…If [Australia is] successful [in its megalomanical demands], the same reach would be available to every government everywhere, including those even more authoritarian than the notoriously illiberal democracy…Australia’s censorious officials…may be exploiting the conflict…to promote legislation restricting “misinformation”…

Vulture Watching (#1404)

Politicians really believe everyone lies as blithely as they do:

Idaho Attorney General Raúl Labrador c[laimed that] doctors…[are lying about] transferring an increasing number of patients out of state for care to comply with the state’s strict abortion laws…[at] a U.S. Supreme Court hearing…[to] de[cid]e whether Idaho abortion law conflicts with…EMTALA…St. Luke’s chief physician executive Dr. Jim Souza…[said] the hospital system has transported six patients out of state for obstetric emergencies since January, when the U.S. Supreme Court allowed Idaho’s law to fully take effect.  In 2023, St. Luke’s transferred a single patient out of state for an emergency abortion…Labrador…implied that those transfers either didn’t happen or were unnecessary…“It’s really hard for me [as a medical ignoramus and moral imbecile] to conceive of a single instance where a woman has to be airlifted out of Idaho to perform an abortion,” Labrador said…

Dangerous Speech (#1409)

Couldn’t she have done this before driving Jim Larkin to suicide?

A federal judge has acquitted Backpage co-founder Michael Lacey of dozens of counts, including a majority of those on which federal prosecutors planned to retry [him] later this year.  U.S. District Judge Diane Humetewa also acquitted former Backpage executives Jed Brunst and Scott Spear on multiple counts of which they were convicted by a jury last fall…In November, a jury found Lacey guilty of just one the 86 counts against him and not guilty of one count…[but] hung on the other 84 counts…The feds then decided to retry Lacey on those 84 counts, despite the fact that there had already been two [mis]trials on the same charges…Lacey is still looking at a retrial later this year on the [31] remaining counts…and on June 17, Lacey is scheduled to be sentenced on the one count…on which the jury found him guilty…[which] Lacey plans to appeal…Brunst is scheduled to be sentenced along with Lacey in June and…still faces sentencing on 14 counts.  And Spear, who is scheduled to be sentenced on July 9, still faces sentencing on 29 counts.

I Spy (#1422)

Is having a shiny new status symbol really worth being spied on and price-gouged?

…I’m the reporter who broke the story [about GM’s spying on its customers, and] I recently discovered that I’m among the drivers who was spied on…This month, my husband received his “consumer disclosure files” from LexisNexis Risk Solutions and Verisk, two data brokers that work with the insurance industry and that G.M. had been providing with data…I had requested my own LexisNexis file while reporting, but…though both of our names are on the car’s title, the data from our Bolt accrued to my husband alone because the G.M. dealership listed him as the primary owner.  G.M.’s spokeswoman had told me that this data collection happened only to people who turned on OnStar…and enrolled in Smart Driver, a[n ironically-misnamed] program that offers feedback and digital badges for [“]good[“] driving…I had connected our car to the MyChevrolet app to see if we were enrolled in Smart Driver.  The app said we weren’t…But in April, when we found out our driving had been tracked, my husband signed into a browser-based version of his account page, on GM.com, which said our car was enrolled in “OnStar Smart Driver+.”  G.M. says this discrepancy between the app and the website was the result of “a bug”…We couldn’t get insights into our driving, but insurance companies could…

To Molest and Rape (#1431)

Even by the standards of rapist cops, this is horrifying:

A…Pennsylvania [cop named]…Steven Kyle Cugini was arrested [for raping]…a 13-month-old child [sometime] between April 11 and April 15…the infant had a broken tibia and fibula in her left leg and other injuries that showed evidence of sexual abuse…Cugini blamed the injuries on diaper rash, a fall and the family dog…police were notified by a day care center after the [victim] was dropped off with “severe bruising” on her face and head and wounds on her left foot…

License to Rape

Prohibition turns the body of every citizen into a “crime scene”, which can be violated by cops at will:

Pennsylvania [cops] have reached a settlement with a woman who [was subjected to] an unnecessary and humiliating strip-search after she was pulled over for a minor traffic violation…by [lying rapist] Brian Rousseau…he [and another male cop threatened and coerced her into “]consent[ing”] to [a] search [of] her vehicle…but [they] found no sign of drugs, illegal weapons, or other [excuse they could use to molest her].  However, that wasn’t enough for the[m to get their jollies, so they called] a female [cop to molest her.  But when]…Elish [told the female cop] that she didn’t know [why they were targeting her]…the female [cop refused to actually root around in her vagina and anus, disappointing]…Rousseau…[who then decided to ticket] Elish…for driving five miles per hour over the speed limit.  That…was dropped…when Rousseau failed to appear at the hearing…

If Men Were Angels

A [Catholic] priest [named Fernando Gonzalez Ortega]…has been arrested [in Brownsville, Texas] for multiple sex-trafficking charges and…continuous sexual abuse of a child…

To Molest and Rape (#1280)

Chicago originally hid this costumed rapist’s picture:

A [typical and representative] Chicago [cop skated with a mere]…year in federal prison…for the [rape]…of a transgender woman in..his [pigmobile after threatening her with arrest]…James Sajdak…[raped the sex worker] on March 5, 2019.  He had originally faced up to life behind bars…but under [a cushy, cops-only] plea agreement with prosecutors, the sentence was capped at 12 months…Sajdak…[wept crocofile tears and made excuses in a transparent bid for sympathy]…Sajdak…[us]ed his [pigmobile] sirens [and magic clown costume to intimidate]…the victim…into [submitting to rape]…biting [her in the process] and [then throwing a few bucks at her so if he got caught he could claim it was a business transaction rather than a rape]…Sajdak had been recommended for firing more than 20 years ago [for theatening a parolee with] bogus drug charges…[then] in…2013…he and [his gang] se[xually assaulted]…a woman [under the pretext of a “]search[“]…

No Escape

This guy must be well-connected for the Big Pigs to pay attention to his girlfriend’s report:

A [typical and representative Texas screw named]…James Gray…[has been] arrest[ed]…for…[sexually] assaulting…[a prisoner who was not identified, though her boyfriend’s name is] Randall Vradenburg…He said she called him on [February 23rd] to tell him what happened…and…[the] hands[y screw was arrested and apparently sacked within days]…

To Molest and Rape (#1418)

Cops should not be allowed anywhere near legal minors:

[Typical and representative Oklahoma cop] Brandon LeDoux…face[s] felony charges…[for molesting a teenage girl,] attempt[ing] to [undress her, and]…showing [her porn]…on his smartphone [in what appears to be a clumsy attempt to seduce her]…

And it’s rare that they’re caught after only one victim:

A [typical and representative Missouri cop has been charged with]…additional sex crimes [after two more victims came forward]…Justin Durham…[was first] indicted…in September on charges of rape, sodomy, child pornography possession and sexual trafficking of a child…[then] a federal grand jury…indicted [him] in October on federal…child pornography [charges]…

To Molest and Rape (#1419)

Give sexually-aggressive thugs power over teens; what could possibly go wrong?

A [typical and representative] Yakima [Washington cop assigned to spy on, harass, and intimidate students] is now facing charges for a sexual relationship with a teen girl and for raping her drunk friend…Elias Huizar…got a protection order against the then 13-year-old girl after she allegedly told others they had a sexual relationship…and [contacted] his wife…[who]…divorce[d him later that year]…Huizar…re[-established contact with the girl in] 2022 when she was 15…she soon became pregnant, and their baby was born [last] April…She [then] started living with him and [is now] 17…on Feb. 2…[she was] drinking…[with a] younger girl [who got so drunk she] felt sick…Both were…asleep when Huizar’s girlfriend woke to find Huizar [rap]ing her friend…

UPDATE: It rapidly got much, much worse.

When will people get tired of sacrificing their daughters to the cop cult?

A [Pennsylvania cop assigned to spy on, harass, and intimidate students] was arrested on [February 13th] for [repeat]edly [moles]ting a student.  Jordan Jones..[wa]s charged…[after the girl] disclosed to a counselor that…Jones [had groomed and molested her]…

It’s rare they’re caught before they successfully molest any students, but the nauseating excuse-making in this story is not rare:

[Omar Connor, a cop paid to spy on, harass, and intimidate students] in Groton, Massachusetts, has been fired…[because] he harassed students and staff, including asking one student if she wanted to come to his house to have sex…[but dopey reporters seem to consider his cop shop’s claims about his “popularity” more credible than the statements of] students and [staff he harassed because one] parent…[claimed she] “Never…hear[d] anything bad about him, ever”…

[Cops] don’t care who they hurt, they have no integrity.  –  former cop Jason Napoli

Surplus Women

What kind of garbage responds to women’s deaths by trying to endanger others of the same profession?

…Three women in a legal brothel in Vienna…[were] stabbed to death and a man carrying a knife was arrested in the vicinity…[but  politician] Maria Noichl…[used the tragedy to vomit out filthy propaganda, arguing that sex workers should be denied all legal protections and exposed to even more] violence [because sex gives her sadfeelz]…

I Spy (#1195)

I’ll believe Facebook is going to use encryption when it actually does it:

There have been plenty of silly lawsuits against tech companies over the last few years, but a new one from Nevada…may be the…most dangerous…we’ve seen so far…[it features] vague claims of harms to children from social media, with lots of…handwaving and conclusory statements with no basis in…evidence..Nevada has asked [for] a temporary restraining order, blocking [Facebook] from using end-to-end encryption on messages, claiming that such encryption is harmful to children…It’s no secret that lazy cops like the FBI’s Chris Wray (and before him, James Comey) have always hated encryption and wanted it banned for making it just slightly more difficult to read everyone’s messages, but at least they spoke mostly about just requiring magic backdoors that would allow encryption to work for normal people, but have it break when the cops came asking…Here, the state of Nevada is literally just saying “fuck it, ban all encryption, because it might make it harder for us to spy on people”…

Creepy Coppers

Seems like a significant fraction of child porn is spread by cops:

[A Pennsylvania cop named] James Christopher Buckley [has been] arrested on charges of…distribution of child pornography…via [his] icloud account…

Copsucking reporters waste considerable space quoting boss pigs oinking about how typical and representative cops aren’t really typical or representative.

Stalkers in Blue (#1317)

Another cop demonstrating exactly what he is:

A [typical and representative South Carolina cop named]…Justin Brian McKenzie…concealed his identity and sent text messages to “maliciously threaten” publishing private sexual photos of [a woman] on social media…[unless she sent him] more sexually explicit pictures and videos…[it is not clear how he got the photos he used for the extortion scheme]…

The Last Shall Be First (#1414)

Both sides in the culture war have completely taken leave of their senses:

Kentucky Republicans have introduced a bill that…could charge the parents of transgender children [or adolescents] with neglect, and even deny them custody, if their child [or adolescent] uses…a school bathroom that does not match their sex assigned at birth…

The Cop Myth (#1416)

Hey, female cops; how’s that collaboration with the police state working out?

[Florida career cop] Charity Arthur…filed a lawsuit in June 2022 [because her cop shop]…discriminated against her…for reporting that her ex-husband [David Arthur is an abuser whose]…behavior put her in fear for her life…his behavior escalated…[in] 2017 [when he decided without evidence] that she was having an affair…he…put a tracking device on [her car]…and told her “he would ruin her career” if she left him…the abusive behavior became “more and more volatile” until [she] filed for divorce in August 2017…eight months later…he…[made “anonymous” accusations that she supposedly molested students when she was a student harassment thug]…and…told her the [ensuing] internal affairs investigation could “go away” if she stopped the divorce process…the sheriff’s office did not investigate David Arthur’s [widely-known] behavior toward her, promoted him multiple times, and instead investigated her for speaking out…the…office has twice moved to dismiss Charity Arthur’s lawsuit [under specious pretexts]…

To Molest and Rape (#1416)

Cops should not be allowed anywhere near legal minors:

A [typical and representative] Georgia [cop named]…Corey Brand [has finally been arrested for crimes first reported]…back in August 2020…Brand is charged with rape, child molestation…[and child] pornography…[his cronies could no longer protect him after he] was arrested in…Ala[bama] in December…on child pornography charges…

A prosecutor tried to blame this typical specimen’s crimes on cell phones:

A [typical and representative Indiana screw] was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison [for coercing] two [different young girls into sending him explicit pictures]…Cory Terry [used threats, coercion and enticement to manipulate]…an 11-year-old girl [and a 15-year-old girl]…on Discord and Snapchat…FBI agents found several cellphones with…more than 600 images and videos depicting the sexual abuse of children as young as 3 years old…

Over and over and over again…the system itself harms children and families.  –  Wendy Bach

Monsters

Nex Benedict, a gender-nonconforming 16-year-old in Owasso, Oklahoma, died on February 8th after what school officials are calling “a fight” in the girls’ bathroom involving three older girls.  Of course, they always call it a “fight” even when three kids beat one kid’s head against a tile floor hard enough to send them to the hospital.  News coverage of Nex’s death is all over the place, though much of it quotes the absurd claim that the death was pure koinkydink, unrelated to the beating; or claims Nex started it; or uses their birth name.  The only things that are certain is that Oklahoma politicians have stoked a climate of fear and hate against kids like Nex, who was forced to use the bathroom corresponding to their biological sex despite the obvious danger, and is now dead as a result.  I’ll publish a follow-up when there seems to be some consensus about facts instead of conflicting masses of self-serving political bullshit, butt-covering by school officials, and speculation by outsiders.  But for now the important thing to keep in mind is that this idiotic culture war is not only an unforgiveable waste of time and resources, but has an actual body count.

Social Autoimmune Disorder (#594)

There’s never a shortage of useful idiots who think the leopards will never eat their faces:

San Francisco [idio]ts living along Capp Street in the Mission District spent much of last year pushing for [magic bill-elimination] barriers to…[“abate” the “]prostitution problem[“.  Of course, as sensible people predicted, the stroll merely moved] a few blocks down [to] the Shotwell Street area…[now useful idiots]…have drafted a petition, calling on the city to install 16 of its new license plate reader cameras in the neighborhood…Mayor London Breed..is also pushing for Proposition E to pass, which would allow the city to use facial recognition cameras for surveillance

To Molest and Rape

Just another typical and representative cop:

[The Washington DC cop shop is hiding the identity of a pig who raped a woman in his pigmobile] in [Montgomery County] Maryland…he has been [rewarded for the crime with a] paid [vacation]…the woman [was apparently lured into the car]…on Feb. 1…[under the pretext of a “date”]…

Property of the State (#1182)

Oklahoma is another state which seems to simply hate women:

Amanda Aguilar’s…baby tested positive for marijuana…[because] Aguilar had been taking the drug to treat severe morning sickness…Medical marijuana is legal in Oklahoma, and she had a doctor-approved state license to use it.  Her son was healthy at birth.  But the hospital r[at]ted her [out] to child welfare workers, who handed over her baby’s drug test results to police…In June, a judge in Kay County tossed out the charges against Aguilar…she [had not] broke[n] state law…But the [sociopathic] local prosecutor…filed an appeal to reinstate the charges, [moronically] arguing that…the fetus…did not have its own, separate license to use medical marijuana.  The Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals is expected to hear the arguments later this year…potentially opening the door for more criminal cases…

Pyrrhic Victory (#1327)

There is absolutely no legitimate reason for a vending machine to have this capability:

A set of [computerized] vending machines at the University of Waterloo is expected to be removed from campus after…a student noticed an error message on one of the[m which]…appeared to indicate there was a problem with a facial recognition application…A picture of the error message was posted online and students quickly started sharing it..Since then, many have tried to cover a small hole on the machine that they believe houses a camera…the manufacturer…Invenda…[claims] the…machines can detect the presence of a person, their estimated age and gender…”without storing such data on permanent memory mediums [sic] or transmitting it over the Internet”…

This certainly casts a different light on another, similar story:

Amazon is in the process of replacing a breakroom coffee machine in its Maple Grove [Minnesota] warehouse after an employee inadvertently discovered a camera inside the machine that took pictures of the breakroom…[the] East African workers…who comprise a sizable [fraction] of Amazon’s Minnesota workforce…have a history of protesting the company’s wages and workplace conditions…a labor organization…said the situation is concerning because of previous incidents where the retail giant used tech to track workers’ productivity in excessive and illegal ways

Any information which exists can be misused by corporations or demanded by cops; the only way to stop that privacy invasion is not to collect the information in the first place.

The Cop Myth (#1395)

Sleeping with a cop is one of the most dangerous things a woman can do:

A Vallejo [California cop] was arrested…on Valentine’s Day after his ex-girlfriend reported to Oakland police that he’d threatened and harassed her for months…Ronald Dupree…[had previously been] reported…to Vallejo police [but they did nothing except tell Dupree she had reported him]…Dupree started texting or calling her dozens of times per day, often from a blocked number…he al[so]…threatened her, adding that he knew how to dispose of a body, and that he would file a missing person’s report to locate her if she ever tried to hide…

To Molest and Rape (ROTW #6)

Your “leaders” say this trash is fit to “correct” others:

A [typical and representative Pennsylvania screw]…sexually abused a [14-year-old] teenage girl…John Mollica…[seduced] the girl, [telling her] “I’m obsessed with you and I’m willing to kill for you”…[and giving] her cash…and [gifts]…when [cops] questioned Mollica…he…denied having a “relationship” with the teen and further stated that he thought she was only 11 years old…

People might [not] be sick of book bannings, but are they sick of having their money wasted?  –  anonymous Texas teacher

The Red Umbrella

As long as sex work is marginalized, sex workers will be targeted for violence:

Non-[Irish] sex workers were targeted by a recent scam where a person or people pretended to work for a major advertising website and asked them to provide personal information…[when] the workers did not realise it was a scam and replied to the messages…a number of them were…threatened with physical or sexual violence.  Linda Kavanagh…[of] SWAI…said non-national sex workers were deliberately targeted…She said m[ost] workers don’t report threats, or actual assaults, to gardaí because they…[reasonably] fear they’re going to be blamed for the work that they do…

Panopticon (#1277)

Cops use their panopticon exactly as EFF predicted they would:

In 2022, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors passed an ordinance that would allow the city’s police…to access footage from private security cameras [as long as they could invent a credible-sounding excuse]…the SFPD [is required to] compile quarterly reports detailing how many times it [abused the privilege]…The report released in January shows that in the third quarter of 2023…[64 pigs] spent a collective 193 hours and 19 minutes [rooting through] live surveillance footage…Police made 49 arrests as a result of surveillance, of which 42 were for narcotics…[only] four were for “theft/larceny,” and one was for [contempt of cop]…all of the r[oot-f]ests [centered on] just five [neighborhoods, one of them the Tenderloin]…the longest [root]ing session was during the Outside Lands Music Festival in August in Golden Gate Park, when [pigs rooted through] 42 total hours of live footage…in [defense of this creepy spying, the]…District Attorney…b[elch]ed [out] the [word]…”fentanyl”…San Francisco is [also]…rolling out new traffic cameras, which are more effective at filling government coffers than preventing traffic fatalities…

The Last Shall Be First (#1351)

The time, money, and energy Americans are flushing down the “culture war” toilet is incalculable:

[Murfreesboro] Tennessee…must pay $500,000 as part of a settlement with the American Civil Liberties Union and other groups over an ordinance designed to ban drag performances…Last year, the Tennessee Equality Project…filed a federal lawsuit after leaders announced they would no longer be approving any event permit requests submitted by the organization…[due to what politicians absurdly labeled] “illegal sexualization of kids”…the city not only vowed to deny TEP permits but also decided later to update its “community decency standards”…to [include merely being gay as]…“obscene or harmful to minors”…Under the [settl]ement, the city…[mus]t also…repeal the ordinance and process any upcoming event permit applications submitted by TEP…

Thought Control (#1376)

Texas’ ice-pick self-lobotomization is becoming increasingly spasmodic:

In November…Conroe…Texas public school [board members]…decided…to g[ive themselves]…final say of what [books are] in libraries and classrooms….[since then] books are being removed to meet the preferences of individual board members, parents or other individuals through “internal review”…one teacher says…thousands of books from…classroom collections [were seized by] the district.  At the teacher’s school alone, over 550 books, equivalent to more than $7,300 were packed and moved out of…[class]rooms…over 30 library titles have been banned…[and] another ten books [are likely to follow]…later this month.  Within the past two school years, at least 125 of all the titles banned from the district libraries came from internal reviews…112 books have been prohibited from being on classroom shelves…last week, [one self-appointed censor demanded the removal of]…Special Topics in Calamity Physics by Marisha Pessl, Geography Club by Brent Hartinger, Girl in Translation by Jean Kwok, American Girls by Alison Umminger and Twisted by Laurie Halse Anderson…When [a] teacher asked what administrators…planned to do with the [seized] titles, [she]…was told…the books would await “disposal”…

Thought Control (#1389)

Too bad all authoritarian organizations aren’t so short-lived:

…Moms for Liberty experienced a meteoric rise at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, as local chapters sprang up to push back against coronavirus restrictions in schools.  The organization soon expanded to pushing book bans and o[ther censorship]…But…the local chapter in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, [has] shut down due to lack of interest…[and] participation also appears to be flagging for…the…organization’s first chapter…in…Brevard County [Florida; at a]…school board…meeting…to discuss a[n attempt to censor]…The Kite Runner and Slaughterhouse-Five…only one Moms for Liberty member showed up…and eventually snuck out of the room [when speakers compared the pro-censorship cult to the Taliban]…The national…organization…has started to see its [15 minutes ending]…as the group was rocked by a sexual assault scandal

The Puritan Recrudescence (#1409)

Censorious politicians are vying to see who can make their new laws the most unconstitutional:

The U.S. Congress’ top anti-porn crusader, Utah Senator Mike Lee, [has] introduced a bill last week that would effectively outlaw all sex work…by classifying any consent influenced by a person’s economic circumstances as coercive…“This is, of course, the dream of the faith based ‘anti-trafficking’ folks — and SWERFs — who believe that no true consent can exist for sex work when money is involved,” [the Free Speech Coalition’s Mike] Stabile added. “It would essentially codify their white slavery panic into law”…

This warped attempt to infantilize women has been part of evangelical feminist dogma for some time, despite its self-evident absurdity.

The Last Shall Be First (#1410)

How defective does an adult need to be to think doing this to a teenager is OK?

A Utah school board member caused a social media firestorm when she publicly singled out and suggested a high school athlete was transgender with no evidence.  She later [uselessly] apologized…[long after her flying monkeys had] personally attacked the player, the student’s school district had to provide extra security for her, and the [politician] who wrote the state’s anti-transgender athlete bill [vomited out her own stupid opinion]…in violation of her own [law].  The post from Natalie Cline…set…off 16 hours of hateful speculation that continued even after she deleted it…

What workers want most in today’s economy is flexibility. – Jarrett Dieterle

If Men Were Angels

“Children’s minister” blames porn and Satan for his crimes:

A Wyoming children’s minister admitted he couldn’t be left alone with kids after he molested a young girl during his Christmas vacation in Florida…Richard Scott Shaw…told cops he “gave into temptation” when he…groped…a…12 year…old [girl]…on two separate occasions…Shaw…confessed to [her mother], but claimed it was [somehow] an accident….[then tried to blame an imaginary “]pornography addiction[“.  As if that weren’t enough hypocrisy for one incident, psychopathic clown]…Grady Judd [had the nerve to say of someone other than himself]…“This guy is an evil person”…

To Molest and Rape

It was just a big “whoopsie”:

A Pennsylvania [cop] who…rape[d a woman he knows]…a[bsur]dly told his victim the assault was an accident…Justin Hain…was in the [woman’s] home…and after she came out of the shower, he…ripped off her towel and ignored her pleas for him to stop…when the victim called Hain the next day to ask him why he attacked her, he said, “I didn’t intentionally rape you”…

To Molest and Rape (#997)

A sadly typical outcome when a high-ranking cop is the rapist:

A Philadelphia [cop] who…[repeatedly] sexually assault[ed] three [female cops] has been reinstated after charges were dropped in all three cases…Carl Holmes Jr….will return to his previous rank…[after] prosecutors dropped the last of three sexual assault cases against Holmes due to the…[department successfully intimidating] key witness[es]…

Confined and Controlled (#1258)

“Progressives” want everyone forced to work for bosses and managers:

The federal government…is coming to rescue [gig workers] from their own choices.  The Department of Labor [has] announced new rules…that will limit the circumstances in which workers can be classified as independent contractors…unleashing federal bureaucrats to micromanage the decisions that those workers have already made for themselves….[via] a vague six-part test…Those determined to be employees will be forcibly reclassified even if they do not want to be.  And many seemingly don’t…78 percent [of gig workers a]re satisfied with their jobs…and…most value…the flexibility to set their own schedules or earn small amounts of extra cash on the side…only about 10 percent…desire…a more traditional job while nearly 80 percent intend…to keep freelancing…While the new rule will “reverberate” across a variety of industries where independent contractor work is common—including health care, construction, and food service…the real target of the…policy seems to be…platforms like Uber and DoorDash…[which are] widely expected [to]…sue…the Department of Labor…

Shifting the Blame (#1384)

How many women died as a result of inaction by this murderer’s cop buddies?

Gilgo Beach serial killing suspect Rex Heuermann has been charged with the murder of a fourth woman, whose remains were found on…Long Island in 2010…Maureen Brainard-Barnes…vanished in 2007…and…is believed by police to be the first victim [of] what [are] known as the “Gilgo Four”…

Served Cold (#1392)

Tim Ballard’s downfall is increasingly satisfying:

Celeste Borys, one of the women suing Tim Ballard, flew to California with her lawyer last week to file criminal complaints…[because Ballard] sexually assaulted her in…San Diego, San Clemente, the San Jose suburb of Campbell, and…Los Angeles…

To Molest and Rape (Rapists of the Week #4)

Cops should not be allowed anywhere near legal minors:

Andrew Menendez, a [typical and representative West Virginia cop] who…sexually abus[ed] a 15-year-old, was found guilty by a jury…He…must register as a sex offender and…faces up to 20 years in prison…
